I first met Julian whilst out campaigning and have bumped into him in all kinds of places, working to support candidates and activists on the ground as well as at events and conferences. The level of work Julian puts in enables him to gain a real understanding of the electorate and shows his dedication to the party. Being in touch with volunteers at all levels through campaigning and associations has enabled Julian to have a deep understanding of how people view the party and its mechanisms. An approachable person who listens is exactly the kind of person we need to guide this party through this difficult time and that is why I will be supporting Julian to become Chairman of the National Convention.
